A spate of fires in abandoned buildings keep Richmond Firefighters busy
For the third time in five days, Richmond firefighters responded to an abandoned building engulfed in flames. The latest call came last night at 9:30 as responders found flames coming from the first floor and rear of the structure on the 400 Block of Market Ave in North Richmond.

Gunfire near Wendel Park activates ShotSpotter
Officers recovered numerous shell casings near Wendel Park after responding to a ShotSpotter activation and citizen calls reporting gunfire.
