Sunday, March 12

Robbery of an inhabited dwelling: Two 20-year-olds in dark hooded sweatshirts reportedly tried to kick in a resident’s door but were scared off by the owner. The resident told police he followed the two dudes to a home at 27th and Roosevelt at 1:54 p.m. A witness told officers the suspects ran off eastbound on Roosevelt.

Smashed: Civic Center Plaza. An unknown person broke a glass door at KCRT, reported a passerby at 11:56 a.m.

Auto burglary: 800 block of Lassen Street. Police received a report of an auto burglary at 10:44 a.m.

Peppered: 1000 block of Cutting Boulevard. A woman reportedly pepper-sprayed another woman at Central Gas and drove off in a black Ford Focus at 3:09 p.m.

Saturday, March 11

Not in good standing: 2100 block of Meeker Avenue. A man stood on the front counter at Starbucks, loudly insisting he owned the coffee establishment at 6:07 a.m. The man, previously banned from the store, attempted to flee from officers by running on the freeway.

Battery: 2400 block of Aberdeen Way A caller told police her brother attacked her and her mother at 8:13 p.m.

Armed robbery: 4000 block of Leke Way. Someone was relieved of their jewelry by a man with a gun at 8:41 p.m.

Friday, March 10


Assault with a deadly weapon: 1400 Hilltop Mall Road. A 30-year-old woman reportedly chased a Walmart security guard with a screwdriver at 6:54 p.m.

Robbery: Vale Road. A teen in a white hooded sweatshirt reportedly injured a woman while stealing her backpack containing $1,000, a cell phone, and a passport at 5:18 p.m.

Aggravated assault: 2400 block of Shane Drive. Police made an arrest after a man told police his girlfriend bit him on his finger while attacking him in a car at 8:06 p.m.

Simple assault: 3000 block of May Road. Police made an arrest after a woman told police she cut her arm on a broken window during an altercation with her husband at 11:27 p.m.

Sideshow: 3200 block of Klose Way. A caller reported 30 vehicles were involved in a sideshow near the movie theater at 11:49 p.m.

Thursday, March 9

Commercial burglary: 12800 block of San Pablo Avenue. It was learned someone tried to break into a cellphone store at 5:42 a.m.

Domestic violence: 4100 block of Fran Way. Police arrested someone for aggravated assault after a caller told police her shirtless boyfriend hit her, blooding her nose, at 7:49 p.m.

Wednesday, March 8

Rental truck theft: 1000 block of 36th Street. A resident reported her large U-Haul truck was stolen around 10:50 a.m. The renter said the truck was empty, and the U-Haul staff told her it happens all the time.

Road ragging: Barrett Avenue. Police took two people into custody after a caller told police a man tailgated and pulled a gun on him at 6:47 p.m.

Murder: 2300 block of Aberdeen Way. A 43-year-old Richmond man lost his life at 11:24 a.m.

Tuesday, March 7

Strong-arm robbery: 500 block of 25th Street. A strong-arm robbery was reported at 1:43 p.m.

Trespassing: 4100 block of Solano Avenue. A worker reported an unknown woman came inside the home he was working on and told him to get out at At 10:35 a.m

Burglary: 2300 block of Mcbryde Avenue. A residential burglary was reported at 7:05 a.m.
