Saturday, January 7

Kidnapping: Carlson and Cutting. A man told police another man grabbed his girlfriend and put her in a white SUV at 9:52 p.m.

Domestic violence: Lancaster Drive. Police responded to a report of spousal battery at 7:47 p.m.

Vehicle thefts: Cars were reported stolen from the 700 block of 36th Street, the 12400 block of San Pablo Avenue, and the 400 block of Dimm Street. Police recovered a car in the 2900 block of Oxford Avenue.

Assault with a deadly weapon: 4100 block of Hilltop Drive. A woman reportedly tossed a glass alcohol bottle at cemetery staff and threatened to kill someone at 9:39 a.m.

Attempted catalytic converter theft: 36th Street and Lowell Avenue. A caller reported he interrupted a catalytic converter theft and was following a suspect at 9 a.m.

Dummy: Parr Boulevard and Giant Road. A utility worker reported seeing a possible dead body in a bag at 8:50 a.m. Police determined it was only a mannequin.

Shooting at inhabited dwelling: 2300 block of Maricopa Avenue. Police investigated a report of a shooting at an inhabited dwelling at 7:28 a.m.

Friday, January 6

Robbery: 1000 block of South 47th Street. A man robbed a market of $180 at 9:57 p.m.

Fraud: Summer Lane. Officers received a report for fraud at 9:50 p.m.

Driving while under the influence: 2100 block of Bissell Avenue. Police responded to a drunk driving call at 2:35 p.m.

Assault with a deadly weapon/domestic violence: 3500 block of El Portal Drive. A woman called the police to report she had been hit with an object at 12:45 p.m.

Robbery: 1200 block of Macdonald Avenue. A shoplifter reportedly threatened FoodCo employees with two pocket knives at 7:53 a.m.

Shotspotter activation: 2300 block of Emeric Avenue. The city’s gunshot detection system registered a singular gunshot at 7:58 a.m.

Auto burglary: 3200 Pierce Street. Police received a report of an auto burglary at 9:27 a.m.

Robbery alarm: 3200 Pierce Street. Police responded to a robbery alarm at a pot shop at 5:10 a.m.

Thursday, January 5


Vehicle recovery: 1100 block of Campbell Street. Police recovered a stolen vehicle at 8:15 p.m.

Vehicle theft: 2600 block of McBryde Avenue. Someone reportedly took a vehicle without the owner's consent at 7:28 p.m.

Criminal threats: 3500 block of Chanslor Avenue. A woman reported a 25-year-old man was fighting with her husband at 8:14 a.m.

Robbery: 3200 block of Pierce Street. Four dudes in a black Jeep used a knife to rob a man of his backpack outside Ranch 99 at 7:25 p.m.

Trespassing: Bayside Court. A man reportedly had difficulty with another man in a silver car at 5:30 p.m.

Emergency services request: 900 block of 23rd Street. A shoeless man in a black hooded sweatshirt appeared in Andy’s Donuts and asked for someone to call 911 at 4:51 p.m.

Restraining order violation: Greenview Lane. A caller reported the man he has a restraining order against was at his door at 4:52 p.m.

Brandishing: 2700 block of Macdonald Avenue. A man reportedly threatened to stab and cut up city staff at 9:56 a.m.

Domestic violence: Police investigated reports of domestic violence on South 37th Street. Pine Avenue and South 39th street.

Wednesday, January 4


Plugged: 12500 block of San Pablo Avenue. An employee reported a coworker hit him with a jar at 3:15 p.m. Police made an arrest for aggravated assault just before 6 a.m. the next day.

Car theft: 5600 block of Columbia Avenue. A vehicle was reportedly stolen at 7:35 p.m.

Commercial burglary: 400 block of West Ohio Avenue. Officers responding to an alarm discovered a burglary at a business at  1:39 a.m.

Hit and run with injury: 2100 block of Macdonald Avenue. A woman in a red Lincoln Navigator reportedly hit an SUV at 5 p.m.

Tuesday, January 3

Shocked: Nichol Park. A dog walker told police he was shocked as he walked through the water at the park at 8:40 p.m. Firefighters found exposed wires and called for an electrician.

Robbery: South 16th Street. A caller reported a strong-arm robbery at 8:15 p.m.

Disturbance: 700 block of 22nd Street. A caller reported his son was at his door and wanted to fight at 7 p.m.

Grand theft: 2100 block of Hilltop Mall Road. Three catalytic convertor aficionados worked the 24-Hour Fitness parking lot at 7:15 p.m. The suspects, described as men in their 20s, all wore black hooded sweatshirts and medical masks and drove an older two-door white car.

Disturbance: Fleming Avenue. A caller told police her family member banged on their door before riding a bike in the street while screaming at 7:18 p.m.

Monday, January 2


Vehicle theft: Police received reports of vehicle thefts on Wall Drive, South 19th Street, Second Street, South 55th Street, and Nevin Avenue.

Shotspotter activation: 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The city’s gunshot detection system registered four shots fired at 10:12 p.m.

Woman with a knife: 500 block of Stege Avenue. A caller reported a woman in an orange beanie had a knife and was attempting to break into the fire training center. at 10:05 p.m.

Sunday, January 1

Shotspotter activation: The city’s gunshot detection system registered gunfire on the 2800 block of Bissell Avenue, the 400 block of South 34th Street, the 600 block of Chesley Ave, the 1300 block of Garvin Ave, the 900 block of15th Street, the 900 block of Hensley Street, the 400 block of 3rd Street, the 600 block of 17th Street, the 300 block of South  Garrard Blvd. The 400 block of Chanslor Avenue, the 300 block of Chanslor Avenue, the 700 block of 8th St., the 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, the 100 block of 20th St., the 200 block of Sanford Avenue, the 1400 block of Cherry Street, and the 1700 block of Burbeck Avenue.

Fight: 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. Two men engaged in fisticuffs at the Bella Vista Apartments at 9:09 p.m.
