PIRATE RADIO: Brentt Brown and Ryan Keeley met as freshman roommates at Bucknell University in 1996 and later formed Pirate Radio in San Francisco with Brian Stein. They recorded their debut album at Tiny Telephone studios in 2005, establishing their musical style. Oren Williams and Ian Shaul joined to help finish their second album, Welcome Home, in 2007, which saw the band experimenting with country-tinged sounds and strong harmonies. In 2009, Pirate Radio released Fires in the Woods, featuring more ambitious tracks and new musical directions, before Jarret Cooper replaced Shaul, further diversifying the band's sound.
